Thomas Tobias is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor,  specializing in individual, couples, family and child therapy, and maintains a private practice in Tavares, Florida.

With over 35 years experience as a marriage and family therapist, and as a graduate of the University of Toledo specializing in Community and Agency psychotherapy, he is currently serving as a private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among his areas of expertise are Parenting Education, ADHD, Marital therapy and PTSD.

In addition to being a prominent relationship therapist, Tom has presented to general audiences speaking on the topics of Family Reconciliation, Living with AIDS and Logical and Natural Consequenses as part of a comprehensive parenting approach.

Tom is an interactive, solution-focused therapist. His therapeutic approach is to provide insight, support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. He integrates complementary methodologies including cognitive behavioral therapy and techniques, to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, he works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.

Tom has been married to his wife, Jan, for 37 years and they have two grown children who are both independent and successful.
